Heathcote Waratah Football Club would like to welcome you back to the 2012 Winter Soccer Season. We hope that you had an enjoyable season last year and that you are fit and well from the Christmas and New Year break. We invite you to come and registrar with the Waratahs again in 2012 and bring along a friend.

Registration can be done online at www.myfootballclub.com.au or in person at Club Heathcote on the following dates:

Sunday 29th Jan 2011 4.00pm to 6.00pm
Wednesday 1st Feb 2011 6.00pm to 8.00pm
Saturday 4th Feb 2011 3.00pm to 5.00pm
Sunday 5th Feb 2011 3.00pm to 6.00pm

Registration Details:

- For Online Registration go to www.myfootballclub.com.au and use the FFA Number and Password provided on your recent letter.
- for new or platers returning after not playing in 2012 go to www.myfootballclub.com.au to find your FFA number and begin the registration process
- Instructions to Register Online are attached, or visit the Clubs Website. www.waratahs.org.au
- Registration can still be done in person at Club Heathcote on the dates mentioned above.
- First time players or those who have not played for many years are required to register in person at Club Heathcote on one of the above dates.
- Any new player must provide proof of age (Birth Certificate, Passport) and Sutherland Shire residency status at the time of registration.
- To support early registration we will provide FREE shorts to all new junior players to the Club (Under 6 to Under 16) who financially register on one of the above 4 dates only.
- Family Discount of 10% of registration cost applies when registering 3 or more players.
- Discounted fees are available for registration before 5 February 2012. Registration after this date will incur full registration fees as listed below.
- Photos: The Association have advised that the age groups requiring new digital photos this year will be the Under 10s and ANY New Registrations of Under 10 or older. These can be uploaded during online registrations.
- Female only competitions are available for all age groups, where player numbers allow
- Please note Under 12 to Under 15 Junior Girls games will be played on Saturdays

2012 Registration fees:

Full payment is required to complete your registration. If there are any difficulties please see David Phillips, Treasurer prior to registration dates to make alternative arrangements.

Team Selection and Player Grading

Under 6 to 7 players will be required for team selection days in February (monitor www.waratahs.org.au for date and time).

Under 8 to 16 players will be required for practical grading in February (monitor www.waratahs.org.au for date and time).

Season commences: Saturday 26th March 2012 for junior players and Sunday 27th March 2012 for senior players.

Over the last few years some people have donated second hand boots or shorts for use by other Club Members, which has assisted some families keep the cost of children’s sport down. If you have good quality second hand boots or shorts and wish to donate them for the benefit of other Waratah families, we would encourage you to drop them in on one of the Registration Days. A table will be set up to display any donated items. Any boots remaining after registration will be donated to an appropriate organisation.

Congratulations to Maddi Hoff of the 12D’s who has been successful in selection to the 2012 SSFA Women’s 14 Academy Squad. Maddi will continue to play and train with her Heathcote team on weekends while receiving additional weekly training through the Association coaches one night per week.

2012 Representative Teams and Academy Squads

Over the last 3 weekends we have had a number of players trialling for positions in the 2012 SSFA Representative Teams or SSFA Academy Squads. All of our triallists performed extremely well in very talented groups of young players and should be proud of their performances.

We would like to congratulate Sian Collier who was successful in selection into the W12 Representative team. Sian will now play for Sutherland in 2012. We look forward to seeing Sian in the sky blue of Sutherland and wish her every success in 2012 season.

We would also like to congratulate the following players who have been successful in selection into the 2012 SSFA Academy Squads. Each of these players will continue to play and train with their Heathcote teams in 2012 and receive additional training through the Association Coaches one night a week.

The Technical Director shall be responsible for Football matters at each club. This would include

o        In house coach education particularly Grassroots for Small Sided Football

o        Conduit for all Football information e.g. Coach Education, FFA updates, trial information, and Game knowledge

o        Running a club based Development Squad similar to that run for the elite kids but allowing club kids access to extra development

o        Trials and Grading involvement
